Get to Know Jonathan!

Hi, I’m Jonathan Edmond—a passionate play-by-play broadcaster with over seven years of experience covering a wide range of sports. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Television & Digital Media from Montclair State University, where I concentrated in Sports Media & Journalism.

During my time at Montclair State, I had the opportunity to call games across numerous sports including basketball, football, soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, and more. Those experiences helped shape my voice as a broadcaster and fueled my commitment to delivering exciting, accurate, and engaging coverage.

After graduating, I continued to pursue my passion for broadcasting by serving as the play-by-play voice for Kean University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams for three years. That role gave me even more opportunities to grow my skills and connect with the stories behind the game.

Over the years, my dedication has opened the door to work on set for major productions like ESPN’s The Heisman Awards, Peacock’s The Best Man: The Final Chapters, and the NBA Draft. I currently work full-time as a Senior Coordinator of Content Management for both the Brooklyn Nets and the New York Liberty—two incredible organizations I’m proud to be part of.​

In addition to my behind-the-scenes work, I continue to stay active behind the mic. Most recently, I had the opportunity to broadcast games for the 2024–25 NBA G League season with the Long Island Nets, including four international matchups in Montreal. I also called two preseason games for the New York Liberty during the 2025 WNBA preseason.

Whether I’m calling a game or working behind the scenes, I bring energy, focus, and a deep love for sports storytelling to everything I do.
